Our Mission
Music For Young Minds Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to making music education accessible to children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to study music. By providing access to music education, we help young people develop confidence, creativity, discipline, and a lifelong appreciation for music, while supporting their cultural, emotional, and intellectual growth.
Who We Are
Music For Young Minds was founded by professional musician C.C. Thomas Jr., whose career in performance, recording, and the music industry demonstrated firsthand the opportunities that music can create. Inspired by those experiences, the foundation brings together musicians, educators, industry professionals, and mentors who believe in giving back and helping young people discover their potential through music.
What We Do
Music For Young Minds provides young people with access to music instruction, mentorship, and creative opportunities. Through experienced teachers and industry professionals, students can develop their musical abilities while learning the discipline, confidence, and creative skills that extend beyond the classroom. Our goal is to help students become capable, confident, and creative young people who are prepared to pursue their own dreams.
Music For Young Minds currently partners with the Boys & Girls Club of the Inland Valley, YMCA of Santa Monica, and Communities Child to expand access to music education and creative opportunities for young people
